Lane Departure Warning

How does it work?

Lane Departure Warning (LDW) is a technology that alerts the driver when their vehicle is leaving a marked lane without using the indicator or drifting out of its travel lane. LDW is part of the “second wave” of active safety measures, using cutting-edge sensors and technology like radar, cameras, GPS and lasers. Active safety systems monitor the performance and surroundings of a vehicle to try to avoid or mitigate an accident before it happens.
